Floss color
I am currently working on this piece. I just finished a large section of the tree using caron collection waterlilies 224. My floss is a variegated lavender color, but the original graphic shows a dark blue? I double checked and I ordered the correct number in the pattern and my floss has that same number. Any ideas???? I'm frustrated that I've already completed a large section and hate to rip it all out. :(

I've had that happen & was told by the owner of a x-stitch store that often the picture on the pattern looks a different color depending on things like lighting, film etc when the pictue was taken but the stitch color will show up correctly. I thought one of my colors was green but was really blue in the finished piece. Hope this helps.

leann, I've had and currently have the same problem. I checked and rechecked. The picture looks totally different from the actual work. Do not rip it out , just continue to stitch. You have done such beautiful work already. It can be a little frustrating when you expect one color scheme and end up with a completely different one. I've never stitched with Caron floss. I have to try it. It looks beautiful.
Keep posting your progress.

I will keep stitching for now, but I'm still so curious how the color can be so off. I realize that colors can sometimes look a little different on the computer, but this is pretty drastic. I searched for images on line and saw that someone else had the same thing happen. The final product looks beautiful, so hopefully mine will be the same. This is a special project for my twin daughters; room. Thanks for the feedback ladies!

No, don't rip it out. Keep stitching, you'll see how nice it looks once it's finished. Twins, how adorable.

I've often been pleasantly surprised on sometimes disappointed by clothing that I have ordered. Rarely are the colors true.

As I told you my Halloween Fairy looks different but beautiful from the picture.

Keep going with it and hopefully it will turn out just as beautiful, if slightly different from the picture.
I am currently stitching a Monet's Waterlilies picture and have been having the same problem. It does not look anything like the picture on the kit and I am getting more and more disappointed with it. It might find its way into the rubbishbin shortly if I cannot be bothered with finishing it as I have many other options in my stash.
