Xmas tree
Hi, I did basic cross stitch many years ago, so I'm new to all these choices. Are there other stitches on this tree besides the basic cross stitch? And I don't like Aida but don't want to do this on a 28 count fabric. Could this be done on 22 count...I know it would be bigger. Thanks!

Do it on whatever fabric inspires you! I'm seeing more and more of these...some more elaborately embellished, done in silks...I like'em! There is one done on a dark blue in whites and silver...just looked so elegant... :) One of these days, when I grow up, I'll be elegant...till then I choose these festive and fun patterns!! :)

Hello Deb,

This design is full cross stitches only and you can choose to do it on whatever fabric you like :) Artecy patterns default to 14ct. White Aida fabric on our website so that is what's listed in the supply list but you can choose whatever fabric you want to stitch this design on :)

DEB -- if you stitch this on 22 count fabric it will be smaller, not larger. The finished project size will be 6.4 x 8 inches. You would want to purchase cloth that is 12 x 8 inches to allow room for finishing.

Artecy has great patterns and they are 100% full stitches. You should enjoy stitching this.

Deb, I agree with the other stitchers. Choose the fabric YOU like! I wanted to tell you that I live in South Jersey and saw this design completed and hanging in my favorite cross stitch shop down in Cape May. It was in a "plain" black frame and it was "quite striking". I encourage you to complete it. I think you will enjoy the "whimsical" look!!
