A project's fabric.
Hi ladies

I have a pattern that is asking for 28 ct Thyme Jobelan Hand-dyed by Wichelt imports, inc.
Are the holes big as 14 count Aida cloth? I had never had used any of the Jobelan fabric before. Can any of U tell me please? Many thanks in advance.

Ok so on aida you go from one corner hole to the other corner....on jobelan you go in one corner hole, skip a hole then go in the next...so your stitches will be the same size as on 14 count aida. My personal preference is jobelan and I would never go back to aida now that I have tried it...so much easier to work with and makes fractional stitches easy with that extra hole in the middle.

I had never had used any other than except Aida. I love the fabric and it is easy for me to work with. I even buy the fabric by the bold of 10 yards by 36 some inches. I had used interlock for needlepoint but the best that I had ever used is the Aida 14. I thank Mrs dsweetp76 for her information about Jobelan fabric.

On the 28 count Jobelan, the holes will be smaller, about half the sizeof the 14 count...use the 14 count if you are more comfortable with it.

I like 28-count Jobelan because the fabric background has a finer, smoother texture and look to it.
