Very Glad....
I'm very glad to see this pattern by Lavender and Lace has had the floss converted over to DMC threads. I bought this pattern in the past and put it away for quite a while. When I finally began to stitch it, I had only 4 of the specialty threads (can't remember the name of the threads) but when I went back to buy the other specialty floss, they had been discontinued. After searching and unable to find the "missing" floss, I put the pattern and what I had stitched away. Maybe it's time to get it out of my "stash" and start stitching it again.

It's a very cute pattern...I'm not much of a "holiday" stitcher but I love this one...I really want to stitch a Randal Spangler( mini Celestial Dreams) by HAED...I've never done a complicated pattern and I thought starting with a "mini" would be a good introduction...I've had my eye on this pattern for months trying to get my courage up to try it and since my dh wants to know what I want for xmas, I think I will have him get it...but it has 90 colors, gasp!!, and thankfully all dmc so I don't have to search for specialty floss...hopefully I'll be able to handle it but I'll probably be crying....I'm glad you will be able to finish your Santa with dmc...

When your husband gets you the mini pattern from HAED, jump into it with both feet! :) Those 90 colors that you'll use for the pattern will be well worth it when you see the visual blending of the floss colors in your project. It is remarkable!
Happy holidays! :)

Haven't done an H&E, (SORRY, L&L), but have my eye on several! This one is so nice...lovely. BJ, what a lovely choice for a Christmas present! Don't be intimidated by the number of flosses, you can only use one needle at a stitch!

Which reminds me...Texas Stitcher, was it you that said you were going to try the double-end needles? Did that end without blood-letting? :)

Are you kidding, VCESS???? I had a good laugh! :) Sorry, but things have been crazy here. We had dental appointments back to back in Southlake, then labwork and various other "stuff". I had to go to at least three different stores just to get my grocery shopping done. You know how it is when one is brand specific. Mostly my Olivia. DD, Oli and I have some nasty virus, headache, dizziness, tiredness, etc. She's already asking to stay home from school on Monday because she does not want to pass it on to other kids. My baby knows how to work it! She wants to spend the day with me. Despite all my issues I have accomplished most tasks. I spent almost all day Tuesday on the phone and watching a useless webcast - long story - pertaining to a change in BC/BS's health care plan. Reaching anyone within government agencies is impossible.
I am so far behind on the chat here that I won't even try to catch up. If it's not on the first page........
How are things coming along with the clean up? We had seriously bad weather last night but were spared any damages. I hope that everybody else fared as well.
Gotta run, busy day tomorrow. Take care and let us know how things are going.
