Is this stocking numbered
how is is this for a beginner

Hi there

What do U mean by numbered? This is a kit in cross stitch.

what i meant was stamped by colors -

It is not stamped. It is counted. That means that you have blank fabric with 14 holes to the inch. It also includes the floss and a chart that you use to stitch the pattern onto the fabric.

on the left side of your screen you should see a list of categories. The fifth one down is Stitchable Items. I looked there and did not see a Christmas stocking.

If you want to search elsewhere like on GOOGLE or eBay try using more specific terms like "stamped embroidery Christmas stocking"

cookster, this is definitely not for a beginner. As a beginner I would try something where the entire fabric is not covered with stitches. Dimensions kits are fairly costly and provide a finite amount of floss. If you make mistakes and have to rip then you could easily run out of floss. Buying the pattern, fabric and floss separately might be simpler and more cost effective for a first project.
