What Size??

I absolutely love this flower design…and irises are my daughter's favorite flower, so I thought it would make a good birthday gift for her…

My question: does anyone have a suggestion for what size Aida would be best to use?? Would 14 ct in 18x25 be too large/small?? That is what I was thinking of ordering, but since I don't have any any measurements to
go by, I feel unsure about that…

Thanks, and Happy New Year!!

It is beautiful. I, too, love irises. Have you considered stitching it on linen. If you do 28 ct over two then it would be the same size as 14 ct Aida. Jobelan and Lugana are nice and easy fabrics to stitch.

Kristi from ECS can answer all of your questions pertaining to size, type of fabric that the designer recommends, etc.

If you go to Pinterest/irises you will get a lot of them as patterns. I am too in love with Irises I have one of my cushion in my living room had been made with Iris and it has gold metallic threads too.

Hello,

This design is stitched on 32ct. Summer Khaki Belfast Linen and the stitch count for it is 177 x 258 so it calls for a fabric size of 18x27 for linen.

If you are wanting to stitch this design on 14ct. Aida then a piece 18x25 fabric would be just fine. That stitched area for this design is 12.6 x 18.4 so an 18x25 should be just fine. I believe the color Summer Khaki is offered in 14tct as well :) Hope this helps!
