Hi Bay St. Louis,
Welcome to the chat! Fifty years of stitching and you eyes are still good, that gives me hope! I've been stitching for almost 40 years but not as often as I used to or would like to. What pattern are you working on? I'm just about finished with "Sudden Showers." Three long years in the making when it probably could have been completed in a year, if I would have worked on it a little bit every day. I started a small design, 5 x 6" bluebirds on feeder by Marjolein Bastin. I work on these smaller projects Thursday afternoons with our small group of ladies that meet at the library. We call ourselves the "Witty Stitchers." The other ladies either knit, crochet, or quilt. I'm the only cross-stitcher. Glad to have you on board! Barb

Welcome to the chat, Bay St. Louis Stitcher! Fifty years of stitching, I'll bet you can teach us a thing or two. What are some of the projects you've done? You are going to like it here at Chit Chat. There are a lot of nice ladies (and some nice men, too) of all levels of stitching. We share tips and ideas and generally help each other along. Happy to have you join us!

HELLO NEW PERSON

Where are you? I live in West County near the Thornhill library. Where are you?

If I don't respond to your reply I am not ignoring you. I have breast cancer. Some days are better than other days. This has been a good week-end. Tomorrow might be different.

Hope to meet up with you at some point

Welcome Bay St. Louis Stitcher to our chat room. You will find lots of nice people post here. We share all kinds of things about our projects. We also answer questions that some stitchers have. I have been stitching for over 30 years and boy has cross stitching changed in those years. I always have more than one project going at a time. At the present time my large project is a John Wayne picture with over 100,000 stitches. I also have some smaller projects going too.

Come back often and chat with us. I am from NW Ohio. Where exactly are you from?

Welcome New Person! You will really like it here. The other stitchers here are great and sometimes really funny! I am currently working on Whistle Stop by Artecy - my big project, and smaller one called Tub Mice. I have been stitching periodically for over 30 yrs, but since retirement I have become obsessed:) and have accumulated a big stash which I will never live long enough to finish!
I am from northern Ohio, the Cleveland area. What are you currently working on? Linda

Hi Bay St. Louis,
Like the others, I am one of the stitchers that frequents this Chat Messageboard. WELCOME!! :)
With 50 years of stitching, you have a LOT of experience and better eyesight than some of us.
I'm from the Myrtle Beach, South Carolina area. You're in "good hands with ECS" chat room (oops! did I copy that statement from an Allstate commercial???) :)

Hi there! Welcome from the UK/Canada! Love this site! Everyone so ready to answer questions, and rave about great patterns which you then look at and have to put into your stash- so be prepared! I travel between UK and Canada- ECS is the best! Welcome!

Welcome! I'm Adele from SE Michigan, near Lake Erie, although I was born and raised near Lake Superior in the "nose" of the U.P (U. P. = Upper Peninsula; picture northern Michigan as a running rabbit, while I'm now living down in the mitten : -)

I started embroidery as a child some 50 years ago, but college, family, and work kept me too busy, until I retired 4 years ago. And then I started counted cross stitching and have become addicted. But I do squeeze in some Hardanger now. However, as a retired librarian, I also have my nose in a book as often as possible too.

You will love the people here. They are so very nice and helpful. And as a librarian always says, no question is a dumb question. It's like that here at this chat too.

Adele -- You could do two things at once if you started listening to audio books. I'm at the library at least once a week. right now I am listening to Never Go Back by Lee Child. It is the book that the new Jack Reacher played by Tom Cruise movie is based on.

You are correct about no stupid questions but you forgot to mention that sometimes there are stupid answers.
