Monarch Horizons cross stitch ornaments
Hi - I've had these kits for a VERY long time (years) and have just gotten around to doing them up. It is the 12 days of Christmas set of 12 ornaments. They came with these nice little oval frames - you center the cross stitch over the oval plastic insert and then place the gold frame on top and press down. Then it says to use household thread to stitches edges of fabric together in back. But there is no hole, hook, or any method that I can see to hang them on the tree. Is anyone familiar with this or have any suggestions?
Thanks. grrowwl@cox.net

I think, with this, "super glue" and a hardware store might be your friend! Not having the frames in hand, I can only suggest a couple of things that might work: glue a Mill Hill gold pebble bead to the top of the frame, or a little wire triangle to the back (also at the top). With the wire, you could slip a regular ornament hanger into the wire, If you use a pebble bead, a loop of thread (any kind, including metallic) can go through the bead - make a knot, glue the ends, and then glue to the top (underside) of the bead.

Hope this gives you some ideas. Both suggestions are easy if you are patient and careful. Or perhaps what I've tried to describe will help you as you search the aisles at your hardware or craft store.

(ps just saw an ebay listing for those ornaments, I'd go with the beads pebble beads...perhaps buy both the Old Gold and Victorian Gold to see what matches best to the frame.)
