dimension of sand
Thinking of using this as wedding piece for my grandson - destination wedding in Hawaii. I want to stitch names and date in sand. I realize the sand area is not square, but can you give me approx. size of the sand so I can figure out if the names and date will fit?

What a great idea! I don't have the answers for you about the dimensions (math is not my thing, sorry) but just wanted to comment on the great and different idea! Have fun at the wedding!
Happy stitching!

Artecy has one called TROPICAL BEACH that might give you little more space... just a thought. :)

Wow, I'm speechless.

Purchase the pattern now but hold off about 10 years before stitching to make sure that the marriage works out. I waited 15 years with my boys.

Thanks ladyj - I always stitch something related to the wedding. For one I actually overlayed two patterns to get all the flowers.

vcess - I looked at that one but don't like the coloring in the sand, although I suppose I could change the color scheme. Thanks for the tip.

texas - This is for my grandson. In 10 years I might not be able to do this. Have gifted about a dozen wedding pieces, no divorces in the lot.

I'm very good at math, and looking at the dimensions of this pattern, I estimated the beach area to be about 6''X 1''. I hope this helps you. I'm not an employee of ECS, just one of the many skillful stitchers enjoying this site:)

Hi jschulte,

This is our design, what a great idea. The space on the sand is quite small though, only 55 x 8 stitches where you could add wording.

For this pattern it would be easy for me to add more sand for you though if you need.

If you would like you can email me at artecy@artecy.com and let me know how much space you need and I can see if I can make an amended pattern for you.

Thanks and Best Wishes
