Knitting mood
I've done quite a lot on my new angel project, but I think I'm falling into a sock knitting mood again. I was so excited about cross-stitch that I got up to stitch at 2 am yesterday. I'm a little sad, but I've got so much yarn to knit!

I was up until 3am this morning, stitching. And I don't want to put it away tonight, but I have to get up early for work tomorrow. This makes me sad. :(

j, the yarn is patient and will wait. This is how DD does her socks. I used five needles, like an eon ago. Beautiful work! She knitted a pair for me once in similar colors but since they are too warm for me I gave them to her husband. He was grateful. He loves hand knit socks.
I don't understand this getting up to stitch. If I wake up during the night, I look at the clock and all but weep for joy when I see that I can sleep another three hours before having to get up. I actually count it out. I have to get up at 5:45 so I can fix breakfast for GD which she rarely eats. I sometimes take a nap after I get back from the bus stop but it isn't the same. I'm full of caffeine and sleep poorly, so I rarely bother.
What else do you knit? I know of doll clothes and socks now.

Rosebud, I have stayed up late to stitch when I was younger. Now, my eyes fall shut with the needle poking through a hole. Sad, sad, sad. When you get old everything changes.

I have a sweater in progress. I am a heavy man, so the sweater is very big, but it fits! It is knit in one piece. I have finished the body and have knit about half each sleeve. After that, just the mock turtle neck collar. I think I will have it ready next winter. It is charcoal gray and covered in cables. You can't buy a sweater like this one!
