Where did you come up with the word? Could be an abbreviation for Pennsylvania, or mean father, or be someone's initials. Or any number of meanings.

A "huswif" is an old term for a sewing kit that would contain materials necessary for embroidery, repairs etc. They would usually hold lengths of thread, needles, thimbles, etc.

I'm assuming auto correct corrected "huswife" to "his wife" making the question hard to decipher...LOL Pennsylvania Dutch is the term used describe the "plain community," Amish and Mennonites
