fabric
I have a project worked on damask aida. Is damask a color or a type of 14 count aida? Thanks!

Hi there. Damask Aida is a type of fabric. Typically Damask is a smooth, somewhat shiny fabric with a pattern woven into it....flowers, bows, etc. ( Think of your grandma's best tablecloth.) In the case of Aida- the damask means it is a combination of rayon and cotton, whereas most Aida is 100% cotton. That would make the Aida smoother and shinier...but I'm not sure it would have a pattern woven into it. Couldn't find any close-up photos. It does come in several colours, and is available on a few different web-sites if you search 'damask Aida'.
