Cross-stitch on Satin?
Has anyone ever cross-stitched on satin? If so, what needle size works on this fabric? Any suggestions for working on this fabric is appreciated. Not sure how to impose the squares, either.

For you to work on satin you need soluble canvas to do the stitching on it. And for that you need to use pointed needle for transferring your cross stitch pattern. Maybe sewing needle is the best for that.
Good luck I had never tried to do any of what you are going to do. Good luck.

She's talking about waste canvas. You baste on a patch the size you need, use the grid to stitch the design, & dampen thefiber. It either dissolves or softens so you can pull out the strands. Water could be a problem if your satin isn't washable. There are still iron on patterns around ; I saw some at JoAnns. Lastly, you will need some stabilizing interfacing on the back to stitch the design through for strength.
