I have 2 & both fit the #28 eye. They're old. Maybe the company has changed the threaders. Sorry!

I have that problem many times & use a regular sewing needle threader which is just a small wire & doesn't get caught in the hole of the needle.

Yes, I have used a regular thin wire needle threader forever, but for some reason thought this would be better. I need to remember "if it ain't broke, don't fix it!" Thanks for your response.
