Where to begin?
I bought a chart that is 25 pages and I have no idea how to start. I 've always started by finding the middle & going from there. I've heard though on some of the bigger charts to start with page 1 in the upper left corner. Can someone offer some advice please?

Where every square is stitched, it's fine to start on p.1 in the corner. You can start at the bottom, too, if the pattern is touching the bottom border. Most advice is to start in the center of the pattern. Look for the arrow on top & on one side. Draw lines across horizontally & down vertically until they meet. This is on the copies you've made, of course. Most designers allow a working copy which is discarded later.

You should allow 3" on each side for framing. To start in a corner, simply count down 3" & right or left 3". Being off a thread or so won't matter.

Well said jlhewes! The only thing I would add is that I have started making 2 copies on my computer printer of my larger project. I take one and tape together and hang on my quilting design wall so I have a complete picture of the project before I start. Saves me time trying to get the right sheet after I am done working on the sheet I am using. I find this works great that way and I still have the one copy for all my notes and "chicken scratches", and the original for my files.

I am one of those people who start from the center of the project no matter what. That is what works best for me. Do what works best for you though. The less stress the better. LOL

Thank you. This pattern has no arrows indicating where the center is and it confused me.

Well, darn them! That's bad editing. If they gave grid numbers, or a stitch count, you can divide them in half.

If I was you. I would have used my table to set them as a picture in front of me. That what I would have done if I had 25 pages of cross stitch pattern. Good luck.
