The Christmas stocking by Bent Creek was done on 18 count Natural Linen. It is 96 wide x 145 high which, if you go over 2 threads and figure 3 inches extra fabric for each side of pattern, you would need a piece of fabric that is 17 inches wide by 23 inches high (rounded up).
