72 of 524, 30 of 522, 23 of 471, 22 of 936, 14 each of 3685 & 3688, 12 each of 3687 & 3689, 9 of 818, 4 of 677, 3 of 676

Looks like a full bed from picture. It's 90 square for design, so you can compare that to your queen bed dimensions.

Whew. A lot of work. My granddaughter and I would no longer be able to have hot chocolate and coffee in bed in the mornings if I had a beautiful heirloom piece like it on my bed! LOL

Texas Stitcher! You sure couldn't, or pets. Someone who can finish this has a lot more patience than you & I.

Right you are, jlhewes! It has to be washed frequently or dry cleaned. In my case it would stay in the cleaners more than on my bed. I'd worry that it would get damaged from the frequent laundering after putting so much work into it. I am just too practical and lazy of course!

PS I'm wondering if syagel, jclifford and Senior Stitcher are on a cruise or Vegas trip together. If it's Vegas we'll never out - you know what they say on the TV ads!!!!!

No worries, Texas Stitcher, here I am. Didn't log in this weekend. I just finished the "Grandparents" sampler (except for the words which is in GlissenGloss Forest color that I'm waiting for delivery). I wish they had the special flosses in stores.

I gave the Sugar n Spice to our friends that just had a baby last month and they loved it. It was fun and easy to do for a short notice like this one.

I finished the Grandparents and started on the afghan. Never done an afghan before and I was amazed at how easy it is. Using 4 strands of floss and pretty much 2 to 3 colors on each square, this one is going to go fast too. I don't need them until April so I have the luxury of "taking my time".

You are something else. After two or three hours I'm tired. My hands get sweaty and I have to stop. DH can't cook so I have to take frequent breaks for various chores. Our daughter lives across the street and they bust in whenever they feel like it then it's all over. I feel lucky if I can finish something in two or three months. Then the phone calls and texting. One friend is too much sometimes. Oh and the emails. Along with all the regular business of cleaning, shopping, yard work, etc.

I want to start on the Mermaid but will need a magnifier after all unless I use 25 Lugana and I'm sick and tired of it. I gave the last one to my daughter it made me dizzy. Too much adjusting. My eyes are good, I wear prescription glasses, no cataracts, got the Ott daylight lamp. I can't figure it out. I get regular eye exams. Frustrating.

I know what you mean about getting on the computer. I could spend the time stitching.

I guess I'm fortunate. I have no close friends, no close family (all in Georgia), no grandchildren DH does laundry on weekends, dinners Monday through Thursday (I cook on weekends). House doesn't really get too messy and clean on Fridays (I get off work at noon). Relax on Saturday and Sunday (except when we do yard work, only couple of hours). I finished the Grandparents pattern in two weeks (but is very easy).

I shouldn't complain. It's nice to have friends but some tell you the same things over and over and ........

Olivia takes up so much time and makes messes but she is our heart. We don't care.

I put in a flower bed in the back a couple of years ago. Well our yard guy actually did. I planted it so nicely but the stuff grew, some died, other plants had to be taken out like grasses. They looked so beautiful and graceful. Unfortunately, in the spring the entire thing was covered in grass! I wanted a fountain, sort of of a Zen like ambience but that never came to fruition. I haven't found a water feature that like and it's complicated about running electrical wiring. The solar ones all look so unattractive. I had a landscaper come out and never heard from him again. I was so disappointed. I'll have to try again next spring. The roses got huge, they'll have to come out front and back. My beautiful weeping cherry tree died.
Gotta run, Olivia and DH are calling.
