Well back from my mini vacation. Had a great time. The Cubs games were great. They won one and lost one against the Dodgers. I can see why the Dodgers are so good. The Cubs fans are really great no matter what. We stopped at Caesars Casino on way back to my son's house. I won $600 playing penny slots so that pretty well paid for what I spent in Chicago. My son won $2900 playing poker. He plays quite a few poker tournaments and usually wins more than he loses. So between the two of us we did pretty well. Now I have to get back into my routine here.
You have all been quite busy while I have been gone. Think I will go read some of the messages for a while then time to get back to my cross stitching and quilting. I have things to get done before Christmas. Hope you all have a good day.

Welcome back, syagel, we missed you. Congrats on your winnings and your son's. My husband and daughter in law are lucky - I'm not. I have so much good fortune in other areas of my life that I am not complaining. It sounds like it was a very nice break for you. Just what you needed to get ready for the Christmas rush.
I had planned on stitching today but decided to take care of some business. Still fighting with Ethan Allen. I'll never set foot in one of their stores again. I am now to the point where I am disputing the charge. It's supposed to be a really effective tool because it is very expensive for the merchant. I say - good. Their crap was very expensive and has given me nothing but headaches and stolen time.
I'll let you get back to work and I'll fix lunch for DH.
