Very pretty stocking. if you do it on 14ct. Aida the finished design will be 7 inches x 10.5 inches rounded up of the stitching of the Santa part0. Everything I find says the finished size of the stocking is 11 x 16 inches using 18ct. Linen. I would purchase the pattern before determining what size fabric to buy. You need to know how much more to add for finishing the stocking including the name. It is better to be safe than sorry.. This pattern uses Weeks Dye Works floss and Gentle Arts Sampler Thread. Does not say anything about DMC floss equivalents. It also uses buttons from Another Button Company.

I have stitched 5 different patterns from them and used the 18 count linen. They turned out so nice.

I am doing this one next. In any case, they do give the DMC equivalent and that's what I have been using. I stitched some of the patterns several times. Only on the first two did I use the specialty floss .
You have to use four strands of DMC if you plan to use the 18 ct fabric. Aida Fiddlers cloth might be nice for it, it's more rustic looking.

Good luck. Post a pic to our website when you have completed it.
