Aida cloth color
Does anyone know what color Aida cloth was used in this project picture? Thank you!

Nice design, all done in pulled eyelets. They're fun to do, but Aida doesn't pull. This was done on a natural color linen or evenweave, like Lugana. I haven't looked it up, but bet I'm right. A stitch count of either 28 or 35, probably.

This pattern can be done on any kind of material.

Sorry, Miss C. Eyelets go around like the numbers on a clock. Aida just doesn't have the holes & you would have trouble piercing the weave in the right places. This is in addition to the pulling problem. Please don't mislead the nice poster.

Jlhewes, I have decided to give this interesting project a try on your suggested natural linen. I have taken a much closer look at the enlarged picture & can see that your advice is very sound. It is obvious to me now that it was done on linen or even weave and that that is necessary. I love the look of the project and hope that it is fun to do. You have saved me a lot of time and trouble by steering me to the correct fabric! Thanks so much!!

Thanks for introducing me to the pattern. I really love it. Good thing we don't have kids. I'm spending their inheritance at ECS.

I'm new to the chat room. I never used linen. I like using Aida cloth only. Good luck with the project.

I checked several different websites and believe that Aida fabric would definitely not work with this pattern. Jlhewes is correct.

I know what you mean, jl. I'm slowly whittling away at my kids' inheritance. LOL

I love this pattern, I saw it stitched at our local shop. I was in a hurry and it was placed high up so I didn't get a chance to have a good look. However, now that you mentioned the pulled daisy stitch I won't purchase it. I've never seen it and don't have clue on how to do it. I'm sure it's very pretty. Is it difficult?
