Going well!
I have about 140 hours into it and getting near the end of the stocking. Only have the raccoon part to do. The pattern was easy to follow. I was originally worried that without colour in the pattern it would be more difficult. In the areas where there is a lot of colour mixing, I used a lead pencil to colour in what I had just finished stitching so it was easier to orient the stitches around that.
I am very pleased with this pattern.
Thanks.

Good work. Developing your own system to achieve the desired end result is what it's all about. I do this often myself with my cross stitch and tailor it to what works best. Everyone here has their own effective methods to achieve the final result. There is no right or wrong way. I love the designs in the leaflet you are stitching. Happy stitching to you.

just another idea.. I use different color hi lighters to mark as I stitch..
each time I "move" to a new area I change colors so I can follow the pattern..
