background
I wanted to know if the background is cross stitched too? If not, would the 16ct Aida "Water Lily" fabric work for the colors in the pattern.

It would be nice if on the pattern Description, dimensions, cost, etc., there was an option to pull up various fabric color samples next to the pattern photo to get an idea if the colors went well together. Just a thought.

Thank you...:-)

What a beautiful motif. I wish someone would stitch it for me! I placed it on my wish list. It's a big project.

I could be wrong but I believe that the entire fabric is covered with stitches. It wouldn't greatly matter what color you use as long as it is light, I suppose.

It looked like it was stitched to me too, but I also wrote to customer service too. There's another I'd like to attempt called Lilacs and Roses....may be 90 before I finish them! I live in Texas too :)

Sometimes you can separate the background from the picture, but looks difficult on this one. The flowers aren't very distinct from the back & won't be clear on the graph.

That was my first thought, jl, and I agree.

Michel, nice to have another Texan on the chat. Although, I love TX, I have only lived here for 11 years. I don't know if I can call myself a Texan yet. Maybe if I have the Lone Star tattooed on my shoulder?

I have seen the Lilac and Roses, another beautiful motif. I can almost smell the lovely scent of lilacs when I look at it. I am 68 and don't know if I could ever finish something as large - especially since it seems that there is a conspiracy going on about getting my recliner delivered. I've been trying to get all this resolved since 13 Aug 14!!! I have a huge stash and wishlist - well for me anyway, I am not a disciplined as many of the ladies here - and no decent chair. LOL

Texas, I say go for it! I will be seventy this April. My inspiration is Grandma Moses. She didn't even start painting until she was 74!!!

Thanks, jersey, think I will. Grandma Moses will be my role model henceforth. :)
