Aida cloth
Is it just me or the Aida cloth isn't stiff as it claim on here? I thought it was supposed to be the stiffest of all the cross stitching fabric? Have you ladies try it before. Its super soft I can't even do my project.

I just want to confirm because I am not sure if they mix up my fabric as well…

Different brands have more of less stiffness. I got a couple of cuts of Wichelt linen from ECS that were stiff, while others were soft. Maybe the bolts they receive differ. You could starch it, I guess.

Don't buy any Aida with Country or French in the name. These seem to be really soft.

I don't like my Aida fabric real stiff so I wash it in my washing machine before I use it. I wash it on the gentle cycle and add fabric softener. I then hang it to dry on a plastic pants hanger. I like my fabric more manageable to handle especially on my very large projects where I pin up the extra fabric with very large quilting pins.

I find the Charles Craft aida sold in the plastic boxes tend to be pretty stiff. You may want to try it to see if it is more stiff and easier for you to work with. Happy stitching.
