Lack of communication between buyer and seller causes MUCHO problems...
Just thought I would post that I am in the process of dealing with at least ONE company that "downloads" their patterns that has, thus far, not responded to my e-mails to them for NOT having
downloaded 2 patterns to me that I have already paid for. The order was placed this past Saturday (3/21) and their website states that if order is placed on Saturday, patterns would be downloaded on Monday (3/23). I've sent them a 2nd e-mail today requesting they contact me as to what the problem is. Stay tuned...

I am anxious to hear the results. Hopefully you paid with your credit card or PayPal so that you will have someone to help thru the red tape. Of course, that doesn't help get the pattern which is the final result that you would prefer.

Hi NANCYE,
Yes I paid the $12.00 thru my Paypal account. The money isn't a horrendous loss but it is the principal of the thing.....if your "store" says you will do something, then do it! Or just e-mail me as to what the problem is...I'm willing to work with people...

You are right!!!!

so I will wait for an e-mail. I mentioned that I was going to Paypal if I didn't receive an e-mail from them soon.
Of course, they could be on vacation or had a family emergency (which is always possible) but you would think that the website would make mention that their "store" would be temporily closed.

I'm also awaiting a return e-mail from another website regarding the check I sent them. This website is pretty big (NOT ECS) but has a bit of a problem getting back within a reasonable amount of time and I want to know if they received my check!

What is it lately? A FULL MOON RISING???!!!!

I bought 2 pdf files. The company put them in a folder & I had so many days to go there & click the download button. Did it for experience, as I haven't found many I care to go to that trouble for. I really need the full-color picture on the face of the leaflet.

jlhewes,

Yes, I understand. But they have NOT sent me any e-mail with the pdf file attachment. I haven't received one e-mail from them other than the confirmation that they had received the $12.00.
I have bought other patterns from a few websites who have downloaded the pdf files and given me 24 hours to get them printed out. But this doesn't seem to be the case.
I'm hoping this turns out successfully but...we'll see...

Bermuda...What is going on? Have you heard anything yet about the status of this download? Interesting that you should mention this because recently, I ALMOST ordered a pattern for a Matelassé crocheted afghan. Very beautiful pattern....however, when I got to the "you may access the download in 24 - 48 hours", I thought what??? Just didn't do it. If it is a PDF file, it should be available immediately. The designer only sells her products over the internet. You cannot order a printed copy. I am sure this saves tons of money for her. Good luck to you.

I have never ordered a PDF downloaded pattern. From what I have read don't think I am interested in doing it either. Would rather have the printed pattern in my hand. Hope you get your problem straightened out successfully Bermuda.

PROBLEM with downloaded patterns I bought HAS BEEN RESOLVED! Received an e-mail from seller earlier this afternoon stating she was having computer/technical difficulty and that is why no communicado and no patterns. To be honest, I never thought of that possibility. I'm willing to give her the benefit of the doubt at this point. I was able to rectify it with her and I'm glad. I did receive the patterns I bought about 2 hours ago and having checked everything out, I have pattern, picture of pattern, symbol keys and floss colors (DMC).

Bermuda, Thank goodness! What's that old saying "All is well that ends well". I am kind of like Syagel I think. I would rather have the old fashioned pattern in my hands. It's probably an age thing with me.
