Wanna take a trip?
I think it would be fun is ECS or Tereena Clarke at Artecy Cross Stitch offered destination workshop trip. I know Artecy is in AUS and I believe ECS is in CO.

I think a hobby destination trip would be fun. And get additional site seeing in. though planning and paying for this trip would require a years notice to save up the funds.

Hey we Ohio people take our state very seriously. LOL There are a lot worse places to visit. I like it that ECS is based in Ohio. I get my orders very quickly since I am only about 150 miles away. Have a good memorial Day weekend everyone.

I'm so glad (NOT!) that my journeys to the mid-west go nowhere close to Fargo, ND. I'm afraid I'd never come out of Nordic Needle!!!

Yes, I like Nordic Needle and ECS. I've been through both towns, but this was before I got hooked on needkework, darn.

Hi xstitcher522,

Thanks for the suggestion. We are a small family business working from home. We do not have an office or store to visit.

This would be fun but unfortunately this is something we would not be able to offer for many different reasons.

I would certainly recommend a trip to Australia though, to visit our beautiful country, if you ever get a chance.

Thanks and Best Wishes

Hello All,

This is a fun idea!! But just like Artecy, we too are a small company working out of an office and in order for us to all travel together, we would have to shut down. Which probably wouldn't be the best for business, lol! But the idea of it sounds great! Visiting Australia is on my bucket list....hopefully, I will get there someday?! I've lived in Dayton, OH my whole life so while I do think there is plenty to do here, traveling to other places is so much fun and good for the soul :) Keep these fun ideas coming ladies!!

Kristi,
DH and I go through Dayton, Ohio during our bi-annual migration from the Catawba/Port Clinton, Ohio area to Myrtle Beach. It seems that ECS and Artecy, while both small businesses, sure could teach the bigger cross-stitch companies about Good CUSTOMER SERVICE. You both have the companies beat hands-down with how to assist your customers!

I agree Bermuda. I can think of a kit company who could definitely use this inservice on good customer service that you mention. When I order now, I always take into consideration who will give me good customer service if I require it following my purchase and always know that ECS and Artecy are at the top of the list in this regard. I am a customer who really appreciates this effort from a company.

I'm not much for road trips anymore due to husband's health issues. However, I do vote a double thumbs-up for ECS's service. My very first order came quickly, but one was missing an important page of the pattern. I called and was told there were none in stock at present but they'd send it to me as soon as another came in. I was thrilled. And I got a blue ribbon for it at the fair!!!! ECS: keep up the good work! I know it's not always easy, but those of us who stitch relish the opportunity to share our craft with others, and really are happy to have a place to order patterns. I often tell people to go through their LNS, but for some there is no such option. Thank you!!!!

How funny. Thought ECS was in Colorado. Who knows why.
