Container store
Boy am I in trouble! I just discovered the Container Store and I don't know where to begin!! I am an organizing freak and I am re=organizing my little office area for my cross stitch supplies. We had been on this property for 40 plus yrs and in this house for 17 yrs. and thru' more hobbies than you can believe, including at least 15 L & L patterns for my grand kids. Now I am starting CS again and starting my organizing again! I am a widow ( I hate that word). I lived for 62 yrs. with a man who never threw ANYTHINg away! His He theory was if you threw anything way the next day you would need it! He taught me well, I have been wading thru alot of 'stuff'. And so now there is so much great 'stuff'in this store and I am actually having a ball, plus I am building my'stash' up again including my pattern supply.

rosemarie, I posted about the container store just the other day. I had every closet done by them, as well as the laundry room and garage. We love their "stuff". I also love to have everything organized. It drives me nuts when I need something and cannot find it. My hat is off to you, I do not think that I could live with a man that hoards. We've been in this house for five years and the only things in my attic are five floor tiles and several window screens. We had solar screens installed and after much deliberation I decided to hold on to a few screens. Throw all that stuff out and start fresh. I go through my stash periodically and throw out patterns that no longer appeal to me or fabric that I feel I have "outgrown". We are stimulating the economy by getting rid of old stuff and buying new. Some charity is picking up donations on Friday. I have a big bag full and ready to go already. I still have to go through DH's sock drawer. Soon it will be out closet - again. I'll never fit those clothes again and if I did they would be outdated. I don't want my kids to have to spend countless hours sorting through "stuff" when we depart this earth. I had a drawer full of beautiful stationary, my granddaughter plays with it. Nobody writes letters any longer. I am still hold on to the fountain pen and ink - for thank you notes. I also have to go through my cookbooks. I got rid of tons of books - I am a Kindle fan now - so liberating.
Have fun at the container store and let us know what you are buying and how you are organizing your stash.

Love the Container Store! None close by so I hit it when we breeze into Dallas. They do ship stuff, but I have to see it before I buy. So I take my little list of "probables" with measurements and wander the aisles...usually with one of their bungee chairs. :)

I got my two recent pieces all online. After some threshold amount, shipping is free, and they bring it to your door. As long as you know exactly what you want, you just can't bear that service. My unit is perfect for my projects, and if I change my mind for a while and want to sew and knit doll clothes again, I can just swap out the projects.

Well, I just sent my first order to the Container Store and speaking of 'containers', I had to 'contain' myself to keep from going a little crazy.I have been looking for a place like this forever. What a neat place! They had storage ideas for everything under the sun and a few outer space things too. I will be back!!

Free shipping is only "free" after $75....without specials or coupons. And if it is particularly large, cumbersome, or excess weight, there might be another small fee. I had them ship my last order, over 70 lbs., they charged me $4 dollars. Worth it not to have to haul it! :) A store for the truly OCD! :)

VCESS, we have a really nice Container Store at the Highlands in Arlington, right next door to PF Chang. There is also a Penzey's Spices a couple of streets over that you might enjoy. We are thrilled to have the CS here in our area. We had to go to Ft Worth before, Hulen St., I think.
Have fun!
We made our large purchases when the sale is on because installation is at a reduced price as well. I believe it's in the early part of the year.
Gotta run, have an appointment.
