What would be a nice fabric to use for back stitching a poem? It's only six lines and it will be framed to hang over my front door..

I always like the 14 c Aida cloth I buy it even with a bolt of 10 yards. But if you prefer smaller picture go on 18 c. or 16c. Have fun.

Hi, Well, I'm prejudiced since I like 28-count fabric but that can be a real strain on the eyes. A 22-count wouldn't be bad or even an 18-count so you don't see the holes in the background fabric. Food for thought would be to think of what color fabric you want to use to "tie in" with the colors of your walls and the door trim...
