coasters
I'm seeing all kinds of patterns for coasters, but have been unable to find any "blank" acrylic coasters. Anyone have a source to buy them?

ECS has coasters if you type in "coasters" at the "Search" area. Also, you might want to check Herrschner's catalog on-line, they carry "blank" coasters in different shapes.

gdub - I have 5 acrylic coasters that I will send to you without charge if you are interested. I bought them many years ago from Stoney Creek. The aida inserts are printed with a pattern but it would be easy to cut your own blank fabric to fit inside the coaster. My e-mail address is clpatt123@yahoo.com if you are interested. Send me your name, mailing address and I will get these out to you this week. If you aren't interested that is fine.

I have purchased blank acrylic coasters from Herrschners. What I like is they have the traditional shape, square and flower shapes. They also have an acrylic stand to hold four coasters for purchase.

I think I remember the magazine called Country Cross Stitch having these for sale...are they even still in business?

I use napkins. Less stuff sitting around. I bought really beautiful crystal ones when we still entertained and they were a pain in the neck. I still had to put these little round paper coasters on them because the glass would get stuck due to condensation. Now, I am into making life easier for myself.

I checked on Cyberstitchers.com's messageboard and one stitcher stated that Country Cross stitch magazine stopped publishing the magazine in Nov/Dec 2013 with unfinished subscriptions transferred to the Cross Stitch & Needlework magazine

Thank you, Bermuda. It seems that now Joann is carrying fewer magazines; maybe our old stand-bys were replaced by the ones from the UK, and I haven't noticed Country Cross Stitch being gone...goodness knows I don't need another one!
