Hi,
If you are new to counted cross-stitching, this pattern may be too difficult for you. I would suggest you start learning on a small kit, that has the pattern, instructions, fabric, flosses and needle, to gain your experience and confidence as to how to do counted cross stitch. BUT I also don't want to discourage you. If you really like doing a small kit project with 14-count Aida, you'll probably learn to love counted cross stitching. If you really love this pattern, you might want to consider buying the pattern which is shown. THIS IS A PATTERN, NOT A KIT. You would need to buy the pattern, flosses and fabric, The suggested fabric and the needed flosses are listed if you put your cursor on the title under the picture and click. You'll see that it gives you all the flosses and the suggested fabric.
I started building my counted cross-stitch" stash" as soon as I learned on a small kit and fell in love doing it; which meant I began to pick up more challenging patterns and putting them away for the near and distant future.
I am NOT an employee of Everything Cross Stitch. Just one of a varied number of stitchers on this "Chat" message board. Keep in mind that the "Customer Service" dept. for ECS is closed until Monday; they do have excellent customer service on this website. Wishing you a Happy Thanksgkving!

LENAK - I agree with Bermuda. I've been stitching for thirty years and I , personally, would not even think about stitching this. It is beautiful but far beyond the time and effort that I have the patience for.

If you go to the Advanced Search (to your left and up) and type in "beginner" you will find several easy choice for our first project. After that, you will be hooked on cross-stitch and ready to attempt a more complex pattern

Read some of the chats here. They can be very informative. I will warn you that sometimes the comments can be sarcastic and/or a little silly. We are all friends and here to help you if you need some advice.
