Unsure what size count to use?
I mostly enjoy working cross stitch on 14 or 16 count Aida . If I use either of these counts would this pattern be quite large when complete. What would you recommend it to be worked on?

This is beautiful.

MY OPINION --

The good thing is that Artecy patterns are nice to work with

The bad thin is that even at 28 count this pattern will be huge.

Think about eliminate the bottom third of the pattern. It will cut down the size and still be wonderful.

I agree with Nancye about pattern being large.

IF you do this pattern on 14-count Aida, over 1 square, the finished picture will be:
28 1/2 inches wide x 41 1/4 inches high.
If you add 3 inches of extra fabric EACH side for mounting and framing your fabric size would need to be 36 inches wide x 47 inches high.

If you do this pattern on 16-count Aida, over 1 square, the finished picture will be:
25 inches wide x 36 1/4 inches high
IF you add 3 inches of extra fabric each side for mounting and framing you fabric size would need to be
31 inches wide x 42 inches high

That is quite large.

Wow that is a big one for sure! My next one is actually going to be huge but I don't mind. I am doing it on an 18 count to shrink it down a bit, plus 18 count is my favorite to work with. I say do 18 and do what Nancy said and cut from the bottom :) Unless your crazy like me and just do the whole thing lol. My next one on 18 count will be 25' by 30' :O

Keep in mind that Heaven and Earth designs their patterns for 25 count fabric over 1, that's where your lovely details come from.

If you stitch it on 14 or 16 count, not only will it be much larger, it will look 'blurry'. You will have to stand quite far back from it to get the full effect.

Hello,

Heaven and Earth Designs use 25ct. evenweave as their fabric and their designs are stitched over 1. You can use whatever fabric that you would like to stitch their designs but keep in mind that more or less floss may be needed depending on what fabric count you choose and the size of the design will change as well. Hope this helps?! Thank you.
