Baltimore Rose Wedding Sampler

This beautiful wedding sample will show those in your life how much you care. The pattern includes a full alphabet so you personalize that special day.

Artist Statement:
Baltimore Quilt Album blocks were the inspiration for this wedding sampler. When quilted they are appliquéd which is truly beautiful. They vary according to the quilt maker. This is my adaptation of one of the many Baltimore Quilt Album blocks. The design is dedicated to my nephew and his wife. They are a wonderful couple and I am happy to be just a small part of their lives. Enjoy!

It's turning out beautifully. However the pattern loses points for a few things. One there is no overlap from page to page. It's difficult to center. Like someone else also said, I've been stitching for a long time (over 20 years) and I had a difficult time with this. It's definitely an intermediate pattern. I'm also going to run out of thread before the end. You'll definitely need to two of the green threads for the leaves. I wouldn't recommend the pattern simply b/c it's so difficult to follow and center that it's taking away from my enjoyment of sewing. It will be beautiful though, I'm sure.

Be very carefull I found one mistake so are working on the edging. That it where I start. One side is 13 and the other 14. It took me a week with finally the help of someone to find my mistake.I hope that it all it a big project. But I have enjoyed it

Even prettier in person! I made this as a wedding gift for a friend. I just finished last night and it is truly gorgeous. I can't wait to frame it and present it to her! However, I would not recommended this for a beginner. I've been stitching for about 20 years now so I'd consider myself well-versed; but unforeseen errors on my part led to a delayed completion time: Be careful about the size of fabric you order (error #1), get more thread than you think you'll need (error #2), follow Ms. Kluba's actual placement directions (error #3), and I recommend use of a fabric pen for the purpose of centering the wreath (error #4). The design loses technical points solely for arrangement of the pattern (offset issues and no overlap span from piece to piece) and personalization instructions (no indication of spacing between letters or words). That said, any experienced stitcher can figure it out.
