GOOD MORNING - What's on your mind MONDAY
Good Monday morning and a brand new week. Today we're going out to lunch at the Hacienda for Bryan's birthday tomorrow. He's not happy about turning 64 and I wonder if men have more of a problem with growing older than women. It's supposed to rain all day tomorrow so we decided to go out today. I've been stitching for the first time on 32 count linen for the morning glories and I like the detail so far. This won't be finished quickly and I am loving I get to use one of my favorite DMC floss 718. Have a fantastic week everyone!
Anyone have prisms in their glasses?
My eye surgery aftermath continues. I still can't sew, and it's very difficult to read. It's so frustrating! My glasses with a "2 down" prism in the right lens will arrive today. I've heard they take some getting used to. My right eye looks slightly up when I look straight ahead or try to read. The prism is supposed to bend my line of sight so both eyes are seeing in the same direction. The exercises for the Convergence Insufficiency seem to be helping. Saturday morning I held my 9 pt font bible out as far as my arms could reach, and I was able to read it! My mid-range vision is good. I need help seeing things close up.
Finishes from the weekend!!
Now that my stitchy mojo has come back, I've been busy! I did three finishes over the weekend!
"Enjoy the stitch" box was my fave....I definitely enjoyed the stitch with this one!! SO FUN!!
Daisies are my fave flower, and also my nickname!
And then I finished the last of my seed packets.
Enjoy❤️😊🧵

Have you seen these?
I saw them yesterday…but didn’t try them…made from recycled plastic bottles, the laces are printed on..kind of fun, but pricey, especially if they aren’t comfortable…forgot to add….

GOOD MORNING - What's on your mind SUNDAY
Good Sunday morning all. This will be a long post, so I might as well warn you all. Just received an e-mail from fellow cross stitch sister Chrisjvmom in Michigan who wanted me to share that she has been absent from the chat due to some serious personal health issues. She is asking for prayers and good thoughts her way. I am glad Chris felt comfortable enough to reach out to me so I could share this for her. I told her I would share this on Sunday's thread. So many of us are experiencing health issues either on a personal level or with a family member and it's so very hard. Bryan's brother is suffering through throat cancer right now and I have a Moh's surgery for a basal cell next to my eye scheduled for May 1. This will be my third Moh's surgery for the same thing in the last 15 years. Illness has been at our door, too, so I understand the pain and struggle many of you are enduring and my thoughts and prayers are with those of you going through this right now. Chris referred to this chat as her cross stitch family and indeed it is like a family to many of us as we share our daily thoughts and concerns with one another. It has been a peaceful and safe space for us to be able to have this outlet. I appreciate everyone on here for the various perspectives they bring to the table and of course all the artistic talent shown on this page. With all of that being said, have a blessed Sunday.

Good Morning
Genesis 40: 6 - 10
6 And Joseph came in to them
in the morning and looked at them
and saw that they were sad.
7 So he asked Pharaoh's officers
who were with him in the custody
of his lord's house, saying, "Why do
you look so sad today?"
8 And they said to him, "We each
have had a dream, and there is no
interpreter of it." So, Joseph said to
them, "Do not interpretations belong
to God? "Tell them to me, please.''
9 Then the chief butler told his dream
to Joseph, and said to him,
"Behold, in my dream a vine was
before me,
10 "and in the vine were three branches;
it was as though it budded, its blossoms
shot forth, and its clusters brought forth
ripe grapes.
Have a bless day!
