I Stitched My First Sue Hillis Pattern
I consider myself a beginner stitcher. If this is the definition of confetti, then it’s my first time. I used a pin stitch for 3 of the cross stitches by themselves. My first time trying those. I got impatient and finished the rest by traveling the thread in the back. This is a picture of before the backstitching.

Hoarding horror? No! Trash tragedy!
So there was a hoarder in my area. She absolutely delighted in buying small to medium cross stitch kits, putting in a few stitches, rebagging the kit, and putting it in a box... well, more than *a* box. Hundreds of big boxes. I only found out about her after her passing and after her hoard was "re-homed" to local thrift stores. Well, my local thrift store got hundreds and hundreds of kits with a few stitches in them. The faint at heart, turn away. They THREW AWAY the fabric and patterns and kept the probably substandard floss to knot their quilts with SO IT WOULDN'T BE WASTED! I was livid at my friend who participated in this awful act! Yes, I know who did it. I told her that the floss probably wasn't colorfast so it would bleed all over her precious knotted quilt tops. She was quite alarmed. So there. Be alarmed. I was too but for a different reason!

OK, so I'm bored and surfing Pinterest.
Posts
II check them daily, especially Pam,s they always make me smile if not laugh out loud. In addition I've learned much and received much needed advice/answers to my questions/requests . But unfortunately, I was very disappointed, at a "political" post that has NOTHING TO DO WITH CROSS STITCHING. Please consider what your posting before posting it.---counte twice stitch once. There are t other "sites. to post such views. Yes our country is certainly divided and in turmoil--we don't need to add fuel to the fire--we need to encourage " to stitch and stay calm.
No Peek Chicken (***See Corrections/Additions*** - Rice & Cooking Time)
Guess I'm on a recipe binge today. Easter is my absolute favorite holiday and I usually host dinner for my aunt and 2 cousins. This year, I also wanted to invite my cousin and his family who live in the FL panhandle, but we (well, I) decided to postpone the dinner till the middle of April because my FL cousin is still recovering from recent Achilles tendon surgery and my aunt had fusion back surgery last Friday. Her son, my cousin Scotty who lives with her, has had serious ongoing health issues for months now, so nobody there is able to cook right now. All this to say I'm thinking about fixing this recipe, with some rolls, a salad and the easy stand bye "cuppa" peach cobbler that we all like, and taking it to their house on Sunday for a simple Easter dinner. Nothing takes a lot of prep, so I think I can manage it before I have my steroid injection on 4/8 that hopefully will enable me to prepare the big southern style meal on 4/14. This is the recipe for the chicken casserole:
No Peek Chicken
1 Box Uncle Ben's Wild Rice (or equivalent amount of rice of your choice) ***
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can cream of celery soup
1 can water (you can add another can of water for moister rice. I think I'll use chicken broth)
1 pkg chicken breasts or tenders
Pre heat oven to 350 degrees
Grease a 9x13 pan
In the pan, mix the box of rice, cans of celery and mushroom soup and one can of water (I always add the extra can of water because I like moist rice not crunchy rice)
Arrange the raw chicken on top of the rice mixture, cover and seal with foil
Bake at 350 degrees for *** 1 1/2 hours *** and "DON'T PEEK!" your house will smell amazing!
The Easter Benny..... (not cross stitch)
....is wishing you the happiest Easter!! Hope you all have a wonderful day, whatever you do!! 🐰🐣

Governor Desantis
He signed into law that ends squatting in homes. Now the rest of these states need to follow his lead and quit letting these criminals take over your home and damaging them. I want Trump to win in November and clean up Biden's mess especially at the border and then we need Desantis in 2028 and that also depends on who Trump chooses as VP, better be someone with a backbone. GOOD MORNING - What's on your mind FRIDAY
Good Good Friday morning everyone. Another quiet weekend planned and today is just a short trip to the grocery store and quick trip into JoAnn for some 3799. Apparently their floss is 50 cents a skein until tomorrow. Julie's x-stitch is officially closed now. I made some of those little bottles with some of our Happy Wax to try out in the Jeep. I love how so many good ideas are shared on here. I also love when other topics can be debated in a civilized manner. We should value our free speech, free religion, and free press. To squelch these would be the end of democracy. Have a peaceful weekend. It's good Friday, so remember to be good to one another.
