I too am working on this as a Christmas gift for my friend. I wish I had started it on 14 count. But the finished picture size would be bigger than I want, so I'm doing it on the 18 count that came in the kit. I can only do it on a bright sunny day, wearing magnifying reading glasses. The black aida is very hard to see. I've even done it with a white cloth in my lap so the aida holes show up better.
