Nov 2025 WIP (Work in Progress) 'Show and Tell'
Hello everyone, and Happy November! It's the beginning of the month and time to share what we've been working on, or have finished, in the past few weeks since our previous 'Show and Tell'.
Post a photo and brief description (name of pattern + designer or publisher) of what stitching you've been doing! As always, if you prefer not to share a photo or find it difficult to do, just tell us in words!
I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone has been stitching!
I feel cheated
I stopped at a drug store this morning for drug store stuff. If some half-price Halloween candy fell in my basket I would not have been angry. It was like Halloween did not just happen. All the costumes, decorations, cards were gone. And more egregious there was NO Halloween candy. What do stores do with it? Surely they don't keep it until next year?

18 count fabric for schooler patterns
It seems that all the Schoolers are stitched on the same fabric, which I have done at least 7 of these. You don’t have the fabric listed as one of the supplies?
GOOD MORNING - What's on your mind SUNDAY
Good (yawn) Sunday morning everyone. I know I'm not the only one who dreads the fall back time change. 3:15 a.m., which is the old 4:15 a.m. You feel like jet lag, but the dogs don't know the time changed. Walked outside under a starlit sky and more leaves crunching underfoot. Sundays are the best days for reflection and quiet activities. Have a pleasant day!

All Souls Day
Therefore, you kings, be wise, be warned, you rulers of the earth.
Serve the Lord with fear and celebrate his rule with trembling.
Kiss his son, or he will be angry and your way will lead to your destruction, for his wrath can flare up in a moment.
Blessed are all who take refuge in him.
Prayer: Lord, help us to stay focused on listening to your word and keeping it with all our hearts.
Happy November Birthdays 🎉
Happy Birthday to all November Babies. In the US, November is the month for Elections, Veteran’s Day, and Thanksgiving. May your birthdays add to the celebrations and remembrances of the month. Enjoy. 🥳
Doing just the eyes!
A long time ago, I saw a pattern of just Tiger eyes, I should’ve bought it, then, but didn’t.if I bought this pattern and just did the eyes, would it come out okay? I love the blue eyes of this tiger, but don’t want to do the whole face. I love tigers they are my favorite animal along with Koalas 🐨.
Thanks for any feedback.

Front start, loop method with two strands
I saw this interesting way to front start (which I do...since you don't need to turn the fabric over for starting) and it uses the loop method with two strands of floss. The below YT short I'd from Caterpillar Cross Stitch.
The basic steps that I see are (have not actually stitched using the method.)
1. Start from the front and go down in a hole nearby to your intended stitch location, leaving a tail.
2. Come up in the hole that will be the start of your first leg.
3. Go down in same hole as step 2. Do not pull the floss all the way thru. You want to create a loop instead.
4. Come up in the hole that will make the first stitch leg complete.
5. Thread the needle/floss thru the loop. Go down in one of the stitch holes and move the looped section to the backside.
6. Complete the remaining leg as normal.
7. The video shows flipping to the back side and picking the tail to the back. Instead of that, I will try trimming the tail from the front.
