I cant tell if the sample is stitched on aida.
I honestly do not like the look of aida - I prefer an evenweave or linen.
Does anyone have a suggestion for this pattern?

Hello,
I am not sure what Sue Hillis used for the actual model but the pattern calls for 14 or 28ct. Lugana in the Summer Khaki color. We do not have a 28ct. Lugana in that specific color but we do have similar color options and those would be Clay, Flax or Lambswool. I am sue some other stitchers/chatters on here will suggest some other color options for as well :) Hope this helps!
