project size
I would like to do this project smaller, any recommendations? 51 inches seems really large.

The size of the actual design is 19.6" x 47.6" on 14 cnt. The recommendation of the cloth is 51"x54." After allowing for material needed for framing (i.e., a 3-inch border, you only need a cut piece of 26" x 54" so you would have fabric left over. Regardless, it does seem like a large piece and you can always make it smaller by using a different ct Aida, for example 16 ct, 18 ct or even 20 ct all available on this site or on http://www.123stitch.com/cgi-perl/aidacalc.pl

Let us know what you decide.

Probably why you aren't doing it!

There is a lot of negative stuff showing up! Doubt is so easy to seed!

I'm sorry. I was just saying I'm a wimp and can't handle all the pages!

I'm sorry, too...my comment was too short. Just having a negative opinion about someone's idea is such a temptation to utter. These places have a lot of power to disillusion someone who isn't sure of themselves, whether it be their abilities or determination to finish these large piece. I think everyone deserves a positive pat on the back to let their minds unfold...they will get plenty of negatives in the way of personal opinions and comments in their own head! That includes the "I wouldn't do that", or "I don't like what you've decided to do"...just MY opinion. :)

It's a beautiful design. The colors are great.

I would start with the fairy and the flowers surrounding her and the greenery she is sitting on. That might be enough. You can always add more stitches if you like.
This pattern has 183,150 stitches. If you did 100 stitches per day, it would take you over 5 years to finish it.
Guess I have watched too many science fiction movies. Those giant mushrooms look like UFOs.
The colors, however, are absolutely gorgeous.

This piece is just great. It would be worth the time to do it. I just finished a 26 page chart of frogs for my 13 year old grandson. It took me 6 years to complete it. I had it made into a pillow for his room. I worked a lot of other projects during those 6 years, but those large charts turn out beautiful. I need to go thru my stash to decide which one to do next. In the meantime, I am working on 2 14 count projects. Don't be afraid to try something like this. Just jump into it.
