Just finished the first flower and it's looking fabulous - I'll post a photo once finished and framed.

Another kit but this one is on evenweave rather than Aida. Good for you. Are you liking the evenweave? How is it working on black? And are you having any trouble with the wool? Keep us posted with your progress. We love to see pictures!

I'm fine using the black evenweave fabric - it really makes the work pop. No trouble with the wool once you get used to it. It's good quality and so fine you use 3 strands.

I'm glad it's working out for you. I had asked because another stitcher on this message board was having a lot of trouble a few weeks ago although it's going better for her now. I hope you realize how much skill you have been developing this last year.

Love the colors, the black really does make it stand out:) I'm working better with wool now myself but it's two and single strands rather than 3 >_<

When I started my first project to be worked in wool on black fabric (Russian Blue cat) I freaked out. I thought "no way!" "I'm not doing this!) and so on. But my daughter had chosen it and I wanted to succeed for her. Once I got going and I could see it wasn't that hard I persevered and she absolutely loved it.

Just finishing the first quarter. Even though I have worked on black with wool before (Russian Blue Cat), I can't remember if I washed and pressed it before stretching/framing. All suggestions most welcome.
