Completed Project
I completed this some time ago but hadn't posted a photo. As mentioned in my previous message it's now in a black frame. The eyes really stand out they're amazing!!

Oh, I see you've already worked with a Riolis kit and on black. It turned out lovely; I can see that the eyes are a bright focal point. Great work.

Wow! This looks just exactly like my deceased son's cat, Nicholas! He had the unearthly and scary sense of humor that allowed him to hang from the top of the double French doors entrance to our farmhouse. Then, when someone entered, he would swing down right in front if them. He even knew that the family was onto his act, so he would reserve it for visitors, salesmen, religious conversion types and any delivery folks! If you look into the eyes of a Russian blue, you can see the smarts and the sense of humor!

Nicholas chose to sleep on top of the china hutch. One time, he had tipped over one of those old blue Mason jars and was using it for a pillow. He also ruined evrry picture we tried to take, except one.

Do you recall who designed this? I would love to do it for our oldest girl, who grieves not only for her brother, but also for Nicholas, who lived a long, long time, but has gone to be with his boy.

I loved hearing the stories of your sons cat Nicholas. And yes it is available on this site "Russian Blue" by Riolis $17.25. It's worked on 10 count black fabric, in good quality wool, it's so fine that you use 3 strands.

When you're nose down working on a project for months on end you begin to think it's not that great and see stitches that aren't as perfect as you would like. I want to thank everyone for their feedback, wonderful praises and encouragement.

PS Will post the same message on my other projects!
