Hello,

Yes. This is just a counted cross stitch pattern. So the price that is listed there is just for the pattern itself. All of the supplies, such as the floss and the fabric, will need to be purchased separately. Those items are listed right underneath of the picture of the pattern on the website. So, if you choose, you can purchase the pattern, the floss and the fabric all at the same time. Hope this information helps :) Thank you!

If money is an issue - I have purchased the fabric alone and decided on 1-2 floss colors to be used around the center of the design ( I work from the center, out to the edges) and just purchsed those items. Then I keep an eye open for the Michaels or Joanns coupons in the Sunday paper where they advertise 40% off - and pick up the next color or two of floss. It certainly takes a while longer to get things done but spreads the money out a little more gradually.

All of the colors listed are needed to complete the picture. However, you can purchase all, none or some of them when you order the pattern. You may have some of the colors already in your 'stash'. The buttons under the list allow you to check all or none of the boxes. If you check 'ALL', you can go back thru the list and individually uncheck any that you don't need at this time. Hope this helps!

This is the very reason why I always try to choose kits. Over here in New Zealand the floss is $1.80 each which is US$1.20. So the floss available on this site seems cheap to me.
