One year
It took me one year to stitch this. It is smaller then the Artecy one I'm working on now. Will I need a whole year to get the Artecy one done?

Ouch! I can't answer your question, so the ouch is for it being a santa, which you will only use for a short stretch each year. Or maybe you can make an "every day is Christmas" room? Being silly, I know, but I wince with you at the time spent.

Maybe you could start at least one other piece at the same time as the one you're contemplating, and go back and forth among them? I've just stopped mentally committing to pieces I start, as I figure that for birthday gifts, there's always next year. For Christmas gifts, there's always next year. For anniversary gifts, there's always next year. Everything for your own home . . . there's always 10 years from now. For those new baby gifts? They get a rush, as "new baby" probably doesn't apply for all that long. Just give yourself enough variety to stay happy at it! BTW, love the santa. I hope he appreciates your diligence when he puts something under the tree for you this year!

I like the design. Looks like Santa was caught putting presents under the tree. Very nostalgic and makes me want to stitch one for myself! The nice thing about stitching something for our own homes is that we can take all the time we want. Keep us up to date on your new project!

I would love to see a photo of how you're progressing on the Santa.

I agree with ginnaB- great answer! I LOVE Christmas & just started a supposed 96- hour project
( where do they get these numbers anyway??!!) but will also run a few other small & large projects simultaneously , so I at least feel I am making progress...😜
