Gorgeous
Has anyone done this pattern?? I have seen it several times in my local stitch shop completed. I really love how simple but yet elegant looking it is. It is suggested to use a Picture This Plus hand dyed fabric and the buttons are extremely expensive, like $50.00 for the package. However, it is all so cute! If anyone has any input for this I would love to hear it.

Yes, but that doesn't cover the cost of the fabric or the buttons. I figure the finished cost would be around $75.00 or more to complete. Ouch!

LOL, TIMC! My DD already has a spot picked out for it! Took one look at the buttons and fell in love with it! :)

Actually, with the PTP fabric at $40+, the buttons at $49+, the cost of pattern, plus floss....I think it might be up over a $100....pricey, but very, very special! :) What is it about "special buttons that get my imagination going?? Picking out buttons for a new outfit was ALWAYS my favorite part of the process--better than jewelry! :)

VCESS, have you ordered from PTP much? I know their fabrics are hand dyed and I am cautions about how it would look with this piece? I am not sure if you can read the saying at the bottom, but it says, "When one tugs at a single thing in nature he finds it attached to the rest of the world."

If you go to www.123stitch.com the price of about $73.

Timc, I have ordered the PTP fabrics 3 times but not directly from them...I THINK I got them all from 123stitch.com...pretty sure. :) I am a big fan! :) From what I have read in the reviews, if you dislike the fabric, 123stitch will exchange...if done immediately and in original packaging. I might be really easy to please, but all of mine were beautiful and exactly what I had in my head! How often does THAT happen? :)

I priced the Barnwood, 28-ct Lugana, 35x25....calculator suggested 31x12....$40+change. Quite a chunk for me, but "special" is usually worth it. :) it's all on my wishlist, ready to roll.... :)

VCESS, Lugana is an evenweave, correct? I like evenweave as opposed to linen.

It is an evenweave blend...nice weight to it. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have! :)

I absolutely love the PTP fabric. There are a huge number of hand-dyed fabric colors by PTP. BUT be careful, keep in mind that computer color of the fabric colors can be deceiving! If you find the PTP fabric you like, you can always e-mail 123stitch.com for more clarification of the color OR if you go to the PTP website, they give a description of each swatch color to help clarify the color. Pricey, yes, but I've used some PTP fabric, specifically changed the fabric pattern color to a PTP and changed the floss colors as well on "The Rede Sampler" by The Sisterhood and it came out very nice!
My next PTP fabric will be 28-count Cyprium cashel fabric for the "Come Said The Wind" pattern by Glendon Place. The 26" x 35" piece of this fabric is going to cost $49.00; so I haven't ordered it till I collect enough dimes and quarters in the piggy-bank.... :)
