Floss
Any idea what type/color of floss was used in this example of the tribal seahorse?

U can do this pattern of any color of floss of
your choice. This pattern require just 2 DMC color floss. Have fun.

Thank you. That's what I figured. Was looking at the hand dyed flosses of varying colors. Probably produce a marine like affect. Thanks again.

Actually, since the description says monochrome, which means one color, the designer suggests just one color of floss. The "spaces" in between the blue used as a suggestion are really the fabric showing through. I might choose an overdyed variegated fabric that look like a tropical sea and stitch with one color of a solid floss in a contrasting color. It is left up to the stitcher.

Kristi, an employee of ECS, will see this chat board on Tuesday when she returns to work. She'll post the information she gets from the distributor.

I believe a solid dark blue floss was used with parts of the fabric showing through. You could use two different floss colors if you wanted. It's really your choice. Everyone seems to have a different idea of how they want their project to look.

The descriptions calls for 16 meters of floss. That would be the equivalent two skeins of DMC.

Monotone suggests that one color is used. The sample looks like a darkish blue to me.

Or, you could use a variegated floss. That would be pretty.

Hello,

There isn't a floss list supplied with this design because it's the stitchers choice to use any type or colors of floss they want :) I just put the sizing dimensions in with our default fabric of 14ct. White Aida and made sure it stated the total amount of floss used so customers knew before purchasing. Unfortunately, the leaflet doesn't state the color of DMC Floss that was used on the model :( This is all the leaflet states along with the chart:

This chart will be 68x146
stitches and uses
15.9 meters of floss.

Hope this helps! Thank you.
