It required the DMC floss.

It is up to each stitcher to choose, but I can tell you what I do. I use floss that matches the color of the bead. Some stitchers use a clear nylon thread (looks like very delicate fishing line) as it can be used with any color bead. I have been stitching for 64+ years. I hope this helps you.

I am not an employee of ECS, just a stitcher in this wonderful chat that is hosted by ECS.

I agree with Su - I use the color floss that closest matches the color of the bead. I love beading so put it on almost everything I stitch - except my cover all projects. Hope this helps.

I would put beads in her hair and the blue outlines of her robe.

I use a color of thread that matches close to the color of the bead so it will blend in.

I have done several with beads and, although, it took some time to get used to I always use the nylon. When I first started using it I hated it and I almost gave up but I didn't like the look of the floss so I kept working at it, now I'm a pro. I think it's all preference.

What should I use for gold beads. I am not fond of stitching with metallic threads and certainly don't want to have to attach a ton of beads with it. I have to locate the product that Su suggested. I've never used it and am curious how other stitchers like it.

Shop carefully...some claim to be easier to work with...the nylon stuff. Haven't tried it...yet. :) anybody have "brand" knowledge?

I have only used wonder invisible thread and it tangles pretty easily.

Should I use regular floss in a gold tone? If I keep things tight then when attaching the beads it probably wouldn't show. I don't need frustration, I have enough in my life as is.
Thanks for the advice.
