MY OPINION -- It could be a very cute wall hanging. You would have to find something to stitch in that upper left corner. Possibly another golf theme object a large golf ball with the man's name? Maybe a little poem? I don't golf or do Christmas so I really don't have any solid ideas.

You could move the reindeer to the left a little and repeat some trees across the top in the space the reindeer left.

Even if you modify it it is still a Christmas motif. Sorry, but I'm trying to figure out if you are trying to turn this into something you can display all year and are trying to get away from the Christmassy look or if you are opposed to the stocking idea.
