This site does not have the recommended (by the designer) fabric. It is sold by 123stitch.com
The color is smokestone/smoketone. You can choose whatever color you likje for it. This is a fairly dark fabric. From the photo, it seems as if the design is overwhelmed by the fabric. I would choose a light gray for this, myself.

Good eye, Su. I also feel that it is a little dark. I did something similar last year and haven't framed it yet because I wish that I had chosen a lighter fabric.
