Border
On these designs, I am curious about the border. Since I cannot see them up close, is the border also stitched? If not, were the particular ornaments purchased so the finished designs could fit into them, and are they available for purchase? Thanks.

I think the border is rik rak or braiding. https://store.stoneycreek.com/leaflet-174-christmas-ornament-series-2001-p11416.aspx has a closer up pop-up image.

I think what you are seeing as ''border" is the edges of the tart tins they are mounted in, and a little Braid to finish.

yes, they are in tart tins, no border. the tart tin is the ornament, you have to purchase it seperately.
