I have not posted on the chat board here in some time but saw your post and can definitely relate to your troubles finding a "right" replacement color for a project. Charles Craft used to make all of these great colors, and I think changes to the company or taken over by DMC ended much of this extensive color assortment along with other great aida colors like Dove Gray that is still used in many kits but does not seem to be sold separately anywhere. Anyway, if you have not started this project yet, I have attached a link for you to an Ebay listing. The size was the biggest issue since the standard 15x18 is not big enough for your project. I found this link for the size and an ample cut that is quite reasonable in cost as well and think this is the color you are searching to find. Good luck.
