I just got done with the Baseball cross stitch and now I want to frame it. It's 9" x 18", and I can't find a frame that it will fit. Any advice???

Many times a nice, simple matte will make that stitch work pop and the matte also handles those hard to frame sizes. A matte can be cut to any size, so that helps a lot and the matte itself aND the cutting of it is not expensive. JoAnn, Michaels , seem to always have a coupon in the sales ads. Good luck.

Herrschners.com - has some odd size frames and some you appear to be able to buy in different lengths and put together. I have not purchased any but it may be a solution for you. K

I put so many hours of time & effort into my pieces, I have my art professionally framed. Now after 50 yrs, some pieces my mother did, some I did at age 12, I am finding pieces deteriorating. So, all framing I have done now are matted with acid free mats & put behind glass.
Most of the pieces my mother did have survived a smoke filled, grease cooking, dusty household fairly well (Mom, admittedly, not a housekeeper). I've cleaned her pieces and in the process of having some remarkable beauty framed, matted, & put behind glass for generations to come.
Love, love, love the Baseball theme. My Son in Law was in the Majors. I may do this one for my grandsons.

My son is a Baseball fanatic. His team is the Mets and my team is the Yankees. We have our yearly "fun" every year and I thought this pattern had his name on it. It took me like 2 1/2 months to complete. Now I want to frame it.

Hi! Did you ever find a frame for this? Can you please post a picture of the finished work? I'm thinking of making it for my best friend. Thanks!

Check the internet, I think there are framing websites where you can order the frame sizes you need

When I first started cross stitching, (30-40 years ago), I was told never to cover the picture with glass. I made a picture for my Mom which was on her living room wall for years. Both my parents smoked and when I got the picture back, the white background was orange! I tried everything (Restore, bleach, etc.) to whiten it again and managed to get a very pale yellow but it will never be white. Since then, I have had every picture framed with matting and glass so they will keep forever.

Senior stitcher, I was told never to put glass over needlepoints and I never have and years later they still look great. But, cross stitch ??? oh no, always glass. Something as beautifully done as this baseball piece, I would absolutely have professionally framed.
