HORRIBLE!!!
I bought the $19 pattern and regret it!!! It is spread over 17 pages and they give you a key as to how to lay it out!!!!! That is ridiculous!! And if that isn't ridiculous enough the use front & back of the pages!!! So in order for me to actually lay this out, I need to print copies first!!!! Horrible, regrettable purchase!!!!

It really is horrible when you purchase a product and are disappointed with it. Based on your description I would also be unhappy.

However, if you have a problem with a purchase you really should contact the Customer Service Department. The purpose of this ChitChat is for stitchers (non-employees) to share ideas and give helpful hints.

Front and back multiple-page printing? Sounds like an invitation to frustration and error... But the only thing ECS can do is refund or exchange. The most meaningful thing to do is request an exchange or refund and place a warning to all stitchers on the "REVIEW" tab of this product. Griping in the chat room doesn't result in much.

If you really want action, take action....and CALL ECS! :)

Hello,

I am so sorry that you are not happy with your purchase. We can definitely initiate a refund or an exchange for you if you would like. Unfortunately, I can not do that over the message boards, so you will have to contact our Customer Service dept either by phone or email. Just let them know what the issue is and they will either get a refund or an exchange started for you. I will give them a heads up on this as well.

The designer of this design, Charting Creations, does use front and back for their printouts and since that's how they have them printed, we can not make changes to them once we get them. I will, however, make changes to our description of this design our website so customers know that it does come printed on front and back and on multiple pages. Again, I am very sorry for your troubles with this design and our Customer Service department will be more than happy to help you get the issue resolved. Thank you :)

Sorry you are disappointed in your pattern purchase. The size of this finished project makes it have so very many pages. I have done several projects that are many pages and printed on the front and back. What I do is make 2 copies on my printer. I then tape one together and post on my design wall to mark off as I finish each page. The other copy is the one I put on my clip board to mark off as I stitch. This leaves the original clean and able to be used again. Hope this gives you some encouragement to do this project. it is very pretty.

Be prepared to work a long time on this because it is so large.

Syagel, that is a wonderful idea and one I might use when I work on the Star Wars pattern I bought a while back. It has more pages then I am used too! This design shown here is ver pretty and am sure it will look great when finished!

I understand how you feel as I have bought two of these..haven't started work on them yet but just take a big breath when you are ready to start because the pattern is wonderful.. Take a walk on the beach with that special guy...wow

The first time I saw one of these multipage wonders I was totally overwhelmed, till I took the time to study the pattern. Then I began to figure out HOW I could make it work for me an the darn thing simply became a piece of art I could put on fabric. First thing I did was make larger copies, then organized the floss, and ordered more needles. :) When they said take a breath, they weren't kidding. :)

Enlarge the picture, too...zoom in on the colors, the couple...this really is beautiful...relaxing colors...something to be worked to be treasured each time you take the time to see it...and breathe. :)

brat, we have all had those same experiences. I rarely biet off more than I can chew. I just can't imagine working on something for several years. The other stitchers gave you excellent advice. Most of us make copies of our patterns, just like syagel stated. Who wants an original pattern that's all marked up and messy looking. Many require enlarging. They probably print on both sides to save costs. Take the pattern to a shop and have two enlarged copies made, go home and sort it out and then decide where to begin. It'll be okay. It is a lovely pattern, I'd probably leave the people out. But that's a personal choice.
